This page explains local data used by ODEPLOT and how the ad network is chosen.

We do not set required HTTP cookies

There is no login, so we do not create session cookies. Banner consent and language live in localStorage, not cookies.

localStorage — site settings

We use localStorage to save your settings. Formulas and canvas clicks are not sent to the server. That includes language (RU/EN/BY), theme, curve palette, formula history, and that you dismissed this notice.

Which network is shown

The web server (nginx + a GeoIP database) maps your IP to a country code. In CIS countries (including RU, BY, KZ and others configured on the server) slots load Yandex Advertising Network (YAN). Everywhere else they load Google AdSense. Both networks are not injected into the same slot at once.

Page JavaScript cannot read the HTML response headers. The region comes from a small /geo.json response (country code and cis / world). That request does not include your equations.

Third-party ad cookies

Slots: ~320×100 and 320×50 on phones, 728×90 on tablets, 160×600 on wide desktops.

• Google AdSense (outside CIS) may store cookies and IDs on Google domains to choose ads, cap frequency and measure impressions. See Google ads / cookies and the Google Privacy Policy. For visitors in the EU/EEA, Google may require consent before personalized ads.
• Yandex YAN (CIS) may store cookies on Yandex domains for ads and measurement. See Yandex privacy and YAN publisher terms.

Those files belong to the partners. ODEPLOT does not read them. The site publishes ads.txt so networks can verify who may sell ads on odeplot.com.

Consent

The bottom-right banner describes localStorage and the ad networks. “Got it” stores a flag in localStorage on this device. Until that flag exists, Google tags should not load in regions that require consent (in particular the EU). The banner stays hidden until you clear site data.

How to delete and limit

Browser: privacy → site data → odeplot.com (localStorage). Google and Yandex cookies are removed via browser settings for those domains or their opt-out pages. Blocking third-party cookies reduces personalization; the visualizer still works.
